Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Remote Telehealth Position

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Grey Remedies Behavioral Health Center, you will play a pivotal role in improving the mental health and well-being of our clients through compassionate care and professional guidance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews with new clients to assess their mental, behavioral, and emotional health, and document findings meticulously through the lifecycle of treatment.
• Create personalized intervention and recovery plans, engaging in collaborative discussions with clients to set achievable goals tailored to their unique situations.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote healing and skill development in a supportive environment.
• Monitor client progress consistently and adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize effectiveness and address any evolving challenges.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges, working proactively with clients and their families.
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, providing them with resources and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds, necessitating a culturally competent approach that meets their unique needs. This role focuses on building meaningful therapeutic relationships and creating a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in New Jersey.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong understanding of current psychotherapeutic techniques and methodologies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to explain complex concepts clearly to clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Empathy and a strong commitment to client advocacy.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating effective treatment outcomes.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective client management and documentation.
• Understanding the interplay of physical health conditions, emotional health, and addiction.
• Knowledge of the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we offer a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
