Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial mental health evaluations to determine clients' psychological needs.
\n
• Develop and document detailed treatment plans tailored to individual, couple, and family needs.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process, ensuring interventions are effective and adjusted as needed.

• Collaborate with a diverse interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Follow up on at-risk clients to prevent behaviors that may hinder their recovery.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in managing challenges related to the client’s mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Mental Harbor, our clientele spans various age groups and backgrounds, each facing different mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues. You will work closely with these clients to understand their unique circumstances and tailor your therapeutic approaches accordingly. Your role in guiding these individuals through their recovery will be vital in helping them achieve improved mental health, resilience, and quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Current and valid licensure in Texas as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for effective documentation and interaction with clients and the team.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients.
\n
• Ability to remain organized and efficient while managing multiple caseloads.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, with a focus on telehealth practices.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems like AVATAR.
\n
• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring disorders or are managing addiction issues.
\n
• Knowledge of current best practices as suggested by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of the implications of psychotropic medication prescribed by medical specialists.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a sign-on bonus to incoming team members. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
