Work Environment

The work environment at Swift Peace Physical Therapy is dynamic and collaborative, fostering teamwork among healthcare professionals. Physical Therapists will work onsite, interacting closely with a multi-disciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, occupational therapists (OT), and speech-language pathologists (SLP). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities, and to develop customized treatment programs that meet physician orders.

• Maintain meticulous records of patient care, including treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and patient charges, ensuring the documentation adheres to clinical standards.

• Supervise the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel, ensuring high standards of care and facilitating an effective rehabilitation process.

• Actively engage in patient education and motivation strategies that foster adherence to the prescribed treatment plan and promote self-management techniques amongst patients.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with a variety of healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to rehabilitation.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, documenting outcomes and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize patient benefit.

• Participate in departmental meetings and provide constructive insights to help maintain productivity standards and encourage a culture of professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic illnesses, or seeking rehabilitation following sports injuries or accidents. Our approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient, considering their age, developmental stage, and personal goals. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Florida.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information effectively to patients and colleagues alike.

• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team is highly desirable.
