Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations during initial consultations and document client progress meticulously from the assessment stage through treatment conclusion.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies tailored to the specific mental and emotional needs of diverse client groups, including individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to explore and address their mental health challenges.

• Monitor and adapt treatment plans based on ongoing assessments of client progress and feedback, ensuring that interventions remain relevant and effective.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate care and maximize the effectiveness of treatment strategies.

• Provide follow-up support and continuous care coordination for clients transitioning in and out of hospital settings, ensuring successful discharges and ongoing wellness.

• Identify and intervene in behaviors that may hinder recovery, employing proactive strategies to foster positive outcomes.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health needs of their loved ones, equipping them with practical tools and resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice serves a diverse clientele, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction disorders, and relationship issues. You will work with clients from various backgrounds, providing culturally competent care that respects and addresses their unique experiences and perspectives. The role requires an understanding of underlying physical health conditions that may intersect with mental health issues, allowing for holistic treatment approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A successful score on the National Counseling Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• At least two years of prior experience working as a mental health counselor in settings that emphasize clinical practice.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client documentation and treatment tracking.

• A foundational understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices is highly desirable.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, combined with strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n
