Work Environment\n

This remote position allows you to work flexibly while being part of a supportive team that values professional input and collaboration. Our dedicated outpatient office operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential evening shifts as needed to accommodate patient requirements. Despite the remote nature of the role, team engagement through regular meetings and consultations remains a core aspect of our operations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological and emotional needs of elderly patients, ensuring that each patient’s assessment includes their medical history and social context.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that incorporate an understanding of cognitive changes, physical health challenges, and social factors affecting the patient’s mental health.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, focusing on the unique challenges of geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate closely with a team of geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, discussing case studies and strategies during team meetings.

• Provide ongoing crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, specifically geared towards elderly patients, while utilizing de-escalation techniques and providing immediate assistance.

• Educate patients and their caregivers about various mental health conditions, available treatment options, and local community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records following all legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
