Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments by interviewing clients and documenting their mental, behavioral, and emotional health from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate individual needs through structured assessments and develop personalized treatment and intervention plans for individuals, couples, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that utilize evidence-based practices and incorporate client feedback.
\n
• Maintain clear communication and collaboration with other healthcare providers such as psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care.

• Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups, adapting treatment plans based on therapeutic outcomes and feedback.
\n
• Assist clients in identifying and overcoming barriers to recovery, fostering a supportive environment throughout the therapeutic process.

• Provide psychoeducation and resources to family members and primary caregivers to help them effectively support the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from various backgrounds and experiences, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. You will interact with clients of all ages, tailoring strategies to fit their unique life circumstances. Your expertise will be crucial in developing culturally responsive and empathetic treatment plans that respect each client's individuality.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Successfully passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably with experience in AVATAR or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a mental health counselor, offering insight into effective therapeutic techniques and patient management.

• Experience dealing with co-occurring physical and psychiatric conditions, as well as knowledge of addiction disorders.

• Deep understanding of medication management and the effects of various medications prescribed in mental health assessments.
