Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to connect with patients from the comfort of your home while utilizing telehealth technologies. You will maintain regular office hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Our telehealth platform integrates advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate efficient patient interactions and documentation.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to the unique challenges older adults face, including cognitive impairments, physical illness, and social isolation.

• Develop and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans that address the specific psychological and emotional needs of each patient.

• Provide effective individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing proven therapeutic interventions to support patients in managing geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including geriatric psychiatrists and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for our clients.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support services, effectively managing mental health emergencies involving elderly patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them during their care journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient progress and treatment outcome metrics, in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Active involvement in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in geriatric psychiatry, ensuring that your interventions are informed by the latest evidence.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is focused on serving the geriatric population, including older adults who face a range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and age-related cognitive disorders. You will work closely with patients who may have complex medical histories and require sensitive, tailored approaches to therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A minimum of two years of relevant post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with older adults.

• Strong foundation in geriatric mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a patient-centered approach to care.

• Ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with elderly clients and their families.

• Proficient in the use of EHR systems and other relevant computer applications essential for maintaining patient records.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
