The Elite Cardio Support Clinic is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient team specializing in cardiology. Work Environment

This position is based in our state-of-the-art outpatient office, designed to facilitate seamless treatment for our cardiology patients. Our clinic is equipped with advanced technology and comprehensive resources that empower our multidisciplinary care team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff, to deliver the highest standards of care without the demands of night shifts or on-call duties. The typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with cardiologists and fellow nurse practitioners to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Evaluate and manage patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia, ensuring effective treatment protocols are followed.
• Deliver outpatient electrophysiology services for patients presenting with abnormal EKGs, arrhythmias, and pacemaker management, promoting early intervention and patient education.
• Assess and manage acute cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, congestive heart failure, and transient ischemic attacks, ensuring timely and effective care.
• Provide diagnostic stress testing, analyze results, and communicate findings to the patient and care team.
• Conduct thorough history-taking and physical examinations to inform treatment decisions, prescribe medications as needed, and make referrals to specialists when required.
• Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, lifestyle changes, and medication management to foster adherence and improve health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients who require ongoing management of cardiovascular issues ranging from preventive care to complex heart conditions. This role allows you to engage with a diverse population, including individuals recovering from heart surgery, patients with chronic illnesses, and those newly diagnosed with heart conditions. Through your observations and interventions, you will play a pivotal role in guiding patients toward healthier lifestyles.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required, with a preference for a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license and certification, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in cardiology, either in an inpatient or outpatient setting, is highly valued. Both seasoned nurse practitioners and new graduates with a passion for cardiovascular care are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with outpatient procedures related to electrophysiology and stress testing will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
