Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Physical Therapist include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Implement and modify treatment programs while closely monitoring patient progress and outcomes.
• Coordinate care by communicating effectively with other healthcare providers, including physicians and specialists, ensuring continuity across the patient's care journey.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding treatment methodologies, goals, and home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring timely submission of charges for the services rendered.
• Participate in marketing strategies, community outreach initiatives, and quality improvement processes within the organization.
• Supervise and mentor support staff and interns, fostering an environment focused on learning and development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The effective Physical Therapist at Mindful Physical Therapy will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals with orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation needs. Our patients range from young athletes rehabilitating from injuries to older adults recovering from surgeries or coping with chronic conditions. This variety allows our team to apply a range of therapeutic techniques, ensuring personalized and effective care.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Physical Therapist position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and word processing.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is required, familiarity with advanced therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation practices is preferred. Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team and managing diverse patient populations will be advantageous in this role.
