Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients, which involve the review of medical history and conducting specific assessments to determine the most effective treatment plans.
• Communicating evaluation results and treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, ensuring they are actively involved in setting rehabilitation goals.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to individual patient needs, closely monitoring their progress and making necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, sharing insights and recommendations, and recognizing when to seek further medical or rehabilitation consultations.
• Ensuring timely completion of comprehensive documentation, including daily encounter notes and progress reports, to accurately reflect each patient's treatment pathway.
• Managing your schedule efficiently to meet productivity targets while maintaining flexibility to accommodate patient needs.
• Participating in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote access to our services and enhance the visibility of the Center.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development, including pursuing continuing education opportunities and serving as a clinical instructor for students.
• Contributing to departmental goals and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient population, primarily individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Our patients range from young athletes to older adults seeking to regain mobility and improve their quality of life. As you interact with each patient, you will provide personalized care and support, fostering their trust and encouraging their participation in the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred).
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Although prior work experience is not required, a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges is essential.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a similar role is not mandatory, candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or clinical internships will be viewed favorably.
