Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Activate Rehabilitation Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions, symptoms, and rehabilitation goals.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction and collaborating on creating personalized treatment plans that may involve therapeutic exercises, modalities, and hands-on techniques.
• Educating patients on proper exercise techniques and the safe use of therapeutic equipment, ensuring effective engagement in their recovery process.
• Utilizing manual therapy and modalities such as massage and stimulation to promote tissue healing and functional improvement.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously, maintaining records that track achievements and adapt treatment plans as needed.
• Providing guidance to patients and their families regarding in-home care exercises and lifestyle modifications to optimize recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes children, adults, and seniors with a diverse range of conditions including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative rehabilitation. You, as a Physical Therapist, will adapt your strategies based on the unique challenges posed by each patient, ensuring that every individual receives the targeted help they need to regain their mobility and functionality.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• A proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere and the flexibility to adjust to the evolving needs of our patients.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of relevant experience in physical therapy is required, those with additional certifications in specialized therapies such as orthopedics or pediatric therapy will be highly regarded. Experience with rehabilitation equipment and advanced manual therapy techniques will also enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
