Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify emotional and behavioral concerns in students, followed by implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

• Provide crisis intervention services, guiding students through moments of acute distress, and coordinating with school staff and parents to ensure a comprehensive support network.

• Maintain clear and timely documentation of clinical notes and progress reports in accordance with departmental protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of educators, school psychologists, and healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment strategies and discharge plans based on psychosocial evaluations.

• Engage with community resource organizations, representing Inner Peace Counseling Center at meetings and committees focused on addressing the social and mental health needs of the student population.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting school-aged clients facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, and behavioral problems. You will work closely with students from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and respectful environment that promotes healing and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology, with evidence of advanced clinical training.

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, particularly in a school or educational setting.

• Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues within various professional settings.
