Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather clients' trauma histories, which will inform treatment planning and intervention strategies.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on recovery and resilience, setting measurable goals for progress.

• Deliver effective evidence-based interventions, utilizing techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging patients to explore their experiences and develop coping strategies in a safe environment.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention to support patients during trauma-related emergencies, prioritizing their safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about the impact of trauma and effective coping mechanisms, thereby promoting understanding and self-advocacy.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to share insights and improve treatment strategies while remaining abreast of the latest research in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced varying degrees of trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be crucial in assisting these clients in reclaiming their lives through targeted interventions and supportive practices that promote healing and integration.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Pennsylvania is mandatory.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, especially in trauma-focused settings.

• Strong expertise in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities are essential.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage in compassionate, non-judgmental interactions.

• Competence in electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfort with various computer applications to manage patient information.

• Ability to thrive in high-stress situations with composure and professionalism.

• Must be a collaborative team player who values the contributions of others within a multidisciplinary framework.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of relevant experience is a requirement, candidates with significant exposure to evidence-based trauma therapies and those who have received specialized training in trauma-informed care are highly desirable. Previous experience in outpatient settings or community health clinics is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, between $90,000 to $110,000 annually, reflecting your skills and experience.
