Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to better understand patients’ trauma histories and tailor appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, incorporating innovative therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that allow patients to process trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and foster a sense of healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and integrated care approach for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients feel safe and understood.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and navigate available resources to promote comprehensive recovery.

• Maintain accurate, confidential electronic health records in line with ethical and legal standards, ensuring that patient information remains secure.

• Participate in ongoing consultation and professional development initiatives, staying current with research and best practices in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including sexual abuse, childhood neglect, natural disasters, or combat-related incidents. Your expertise will help them address the complex emotional and psychological challenges that result from such experiences, empowering them to reclaim their narratives and lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is strongly preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-focused therapeutic approaches.

• Expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, providing patients with the reassurance they need.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technological tools.

• Collaborative spirit to effectively engage with multidisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates who have completed additional training or certifications in trauma therapy and who possess proven experience in delivering effective mental health interventions tailored for trauma survivors. Compensation and Benefits\n
