Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to ascertain patients' trauma histories, enabling the formulation of appropriate treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions to support patients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping mechanisms, and fostering personal growth.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety.

• Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping strategies, and accessing available resources within our community.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring best practices in record-keeping.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on enhancing trauma-informed care methods.

• Stay abreast of advances in trauma therapy through research, training, and peer collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to supporting survivors of trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and related conditions. You will work with a diverse patient population, facilitating their healing journeys and promoting mental well-being through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and competence in trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that yield tangible results.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with relevant computer applications is necessary.

Preferred Experience\n

Though two years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with substantial experience in trauma therapy or involving community health initiatives will be given preference, particularly those with a solid grasp of resilience-building strategies and innovative therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.
