Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to uncover patients' trauma histories, ensuring thorough understanding of their experiences.

• Craft and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, integrating evidence-based practices with personalized care approaches.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Guide patients through various therapeutic modalities, helping them develop effective coping strategies and process their trauma in a safe environment.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, other therapists, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, ensuring a cohesive treatment strategy.

• Offer crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and emotional support.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and connect them with helpful community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on clients who have experienced trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, domestic violence, and other life-altering circumstances. Your work will involve helping these individuals navigate their complex emotional landscapes, restore their sense of safety, and rebuild their resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in Maryland as an LCSW-C, LCMHC, LMFT, LCPC, or LCMFT.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices and theory-based interventions applicable to trauma-related disorders.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse client populations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive and empathetic therapist-client relationships.

• Capacity to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with more extensive backgrounds in trauma-informed care, group therapy facilitation, and supporting diverse populations are encouraged to apply. Additional training in evidence-based trauma therapies is a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
