Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Maricopa Counseling, you will take on a critical role in our patients' recovery. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history and determine appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Crafting and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient, focusing on trauma recovery and enhancing resilience.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist patients in processing their experiences.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients develop healthy coping strategies while promoting emotional healing.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during moments of acute trauma-related emergencies.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to aid in the recovery process.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation that aligns with both legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• Strong foundational knowledge in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
