Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments through initial consultations to identify patients’ unique needs and risks.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques.

• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, tailoring each approach based on the specific dynamics and challenges presented.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups, creating a safe space for participants to share experiences and gain understanding of common mental health concerns.

• Respond to crises by providing immediate intervention and support, ensuring safety and stabilization for clients in distress.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Engage in continual professional development by staying abreast of the latest research and treatment methodologies in mental health care.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care for patients, including referrals to outside resources when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be serving a diverse patient population, ranging from children to adults, who are navigating various mental health challenges. This role requires sensitivity and adaptability to meet the unique cultural and emotional needs of each client. Providing support to individuals recovering from trauma, managing chronic mental health conditions, and addressing life transitions are essential elements of this position.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.

• Proficient understanding of mental health disorders and therapeutic interventions supported by evidence-based practices.

• Proven ability to develop and implement treatment plans informed by comprehensive assessments.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Sound ethical judgment and understanding of professional boundaries.

• Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems for efficient documentation.

• A commitment to collaboration and participation within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field is highly preferred, although not mandatory.

• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy across diverse populations will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
