Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and tailor appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and promoting resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist patients in their healing processes.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to empower patients, aiding them in processing their trauma, developing vital coping strategies, and enhancing their overall well-being.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for all patients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, equipping patients with immediate coping techniques.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and resources available for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, including progress notes and treatment plans.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities centered around innovative and effective trauma-informed care.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling services is preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
