Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Tip of The Spear, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms experienced by clients with mood disorders.
• Collaboratively developing personalized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each client.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help manage and alleviate mood disorder symptoms.
• Educating and supporting clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Monitoring and documenting client progress throughout the therapeutic process, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and observations.
• Building strong collaborative relationships with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Staying informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records of all client interactions and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engaging in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance your clinical expertise.
• Advocating for clients' mental health needs and working towards reducing the stigma surrounding mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve clients grappling with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Our clients represent a diverse demographic, each with unique challenges and backgrounds. As a counselor, you will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate care and tailored support to facilitate their journey towards mental wellness.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current licensure within the state of California as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or in Clinical Psychology.
• Expertise in evidence-based treatment techniques, specifically focusing on mood disorders, with a solid understanding of psychopharmacology.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to develop rapport and connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate:

• A proven track record of successful outcomes in treating mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits

Tip of The Spear Behavioral Counseling Center offers an attractive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000. We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
