Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that evaluate patients’ psychological needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to assist patients in managing their mental health disorders effectively.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for patients to express their thoughts, emotions, and challenges.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care paths are in place for each patient, enhancing treatment outcomes.
• Engage in crisis intervention, providing immediate support during mental health emergencies, while employing de-escalation techniques.
• Document patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Stay informed on advancements in mental health treatment methodologies and participate in ongoing education to maintain clinical competency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges. Our diverse patient population includes adolescents, adults, and families seeking care for conditions such as anxiety disorders, mood and affective disorders, trauma histories, and other mental health issues. By addressing their unique needs through personalized and evidence-based treatment, you will play a pivotal role in improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• Proficient understanding of mental health conditions and trauma-informed care practices, along with the ability to stay aligned with ethical standards in mental health therapy.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and establish therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a similar role is highly preferred.
• Experience conducting mental health assessments and developing tailored treatment plans is essential.
• Background in delivering group therapy is advantageous, allowing you to promote peer support among patients.

Compensation and Benefits
