Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage with students to understand their emotional and psychological needs, conducting assessments and developing tailored treatment plans.

• Provide therapeutic counseling to individuals and groups, focusing on coping strategies, effective communication, and conflict resolution skills.

• Act as an advocate for students by connecting them with appropriate community resources, including social services and local support groups.
\n
• Conduct crisis interventions to ensure student safety and emotional stability during critical situations.

• Collaborate with educators and other mental health professionals to create a supportive academic environment and promote positive mental health initiatives.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss cases, share knowledge, and explore new therapeutic techniques and community outreach opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be students in the K-12 age range, many of whom may be grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will provide support through individualized therapy sessions as well as group workshops aimed at building resilience and promoting mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field from an accredited institution.

• At least 4 years of experience working as a social worker within the mental health field, with direct experience in therapeutic settings.

• Proven understanding of school systems and the unique challenges faced by students.
\n
• Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with students, parents, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Strong commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and practicing ethical standards.

Compensation and Benefits\n
