Key Responsibilities\n

• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to the needs of students.

• Conduct thorough clinical evaluations to assess the mental health needs of students and devise appropriate treatment plans.

• Ensure that discharge appointments are confirmed, providing clear communication with patients and their families to facilitate a smooth transition.

• Maintain ongoing communication with referral sources and outpatient providers to promote continuity of care throughout the treatment process.

• Facilitate transfers to higher levels of care when necessary, ensuring students receive the most appropriate support for their circumstances.

• Actively engage in clinical outreach and participate in program tours to help promote mental health awareness and services within the school community.

• Proficiently manage crises as they arise during therapy sessions and within the milieu, ensuring a safe environment for all clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse population of school-aged children and adolescents. You will work with students facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. The position requires a sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic factors that may impact student well-being, making adaptability and keen observational skills essential.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current active license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
