Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health statuses and identify areas of concern. Develop personalized therapeutic plans tailored to each client's needs through evidence-based approaches. Facilitate regular therapy sessions, employing a variety of modalities such as individual counseling and group therapy. Equip clients with the coping strategies and tools necessary for overcoming mental health challenges. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress in EHR systems. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and refer clients to other specialists, such as psychiatrists, when appropriate. Stay informed about current mental health practices and attend relevant training sessions. Patient Population / Client Focus You will engage with a diverse array of clients, including those experiencing substance use disorders, severe anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. This role requires cultural competence to effectively connect with varied backgrounds and life experiences. Your empathetic approach will help enhance the therapeutic relationship and foster an environment conducive to healing. Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution. A current and valid mental health license (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in New Jersey. A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling. Fundamental understanding of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and best practices. Strong crisis intervention skills and the capacity to remain composed in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in electronic health record systems and standard computer applications. Commitment to uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and establish professional boundaries. Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing integrated care. Preferred Experience Experience delivering both individual and group therapy. familiarity with culturally responsive practices in therapy. Advanced proficiency in evidence-based treatment techniques. Compensation and Benefits The Healing Garden Counseling Center offers competitive salaries ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
