Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Delivering trauma-informed counseling to individuals, couples, and families, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs.

• Integrating Christian counseling principles as preferred by clients, creating a holistic and supportive therapeutic atmosphere.
\n
• Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans that reflect clients' individual goals and progress.
\n
• Providing counseling services to referrals from local churches, facilitating accessibility to mental health resources in the community.
\n
• Engaging in community outreach and networking to build your caseload and establish new referral sources.
\n
• Collaborating effectively with other professionals, including social workers and clinical counselors, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Maintaining accurate client records and timely progress notes within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
\n
• Communicating openly with the center director regarding your scheduling preferences and availability to streamline support services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base comprises individuals and families seeking support for a variety of mental health issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related mental health field.
\n
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Biblical counseling techniques.
\n
• Current licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, with preference given to those licensed in DC or in the process of obtaining licensure.
\n
• At least one year of documented experience in trauma counseling.
\n
• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions to address diverse client needs.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to counseling.
\n
• A commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice in all interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those who:

• Possess dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland.
\n
• Are trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or willing to complete basic EMDR training within three months of joining our team.
