Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining a strong connection with the school community. You will collaborate with educators and other mental health professionals to create a supportive environment for students. Although the role is remote, you will engage with students through virtual counseling sessions, providing consistent care and support tailored to their needs. You may also be required to work some evenings and weekends to accommodate students' schedules or address urgent mental health concerns.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Utilize your clinical expertise to conduct assessments and provide independent psychosocial diagnoses for students, identifying their mental health needs.

• Collaborate with students, parents, and educators to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that prioritize the student's well-being and educational success.

• Employ evidence-based behavioral interventions, such as solution-focused and motivational interviewing techniques, to facilitate the students’ progress.

• Coordinate care with other mental health clinicians, school psychologists, and primary care providers to promote an integrated approach to student health and wellness.

• Monitor and track student progress towards individualized treatment goals, reassessing and adjusting plans as necessary to ensure continuous support.

• Facilitate psychotropic medication management under the guidance of medical providers, ensuring adherence and monitoring any side effects or concerns.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve school-aged children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. Your work will address not only individual needs but will also focus on the broader community context, as you engage with families and school support systems to foster an environment conducive to healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is mandatory.

• Possession of a current, valid, and unrestricted license to independently practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• At least 1 year of experience working as an independently licensed therapist, particularly in a school or educational setting preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
