Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, tailoring the assessment process to meet individual needs.

• Provide both individual and family therapy based on identified therapeutic needs, utilizing effective counseling strategies to promote healing and recovery.

• Complete all required documentation within established timeframes, ensuring that billing, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms are accurate and up to date.

• Develop comprehensive crisis and safety plans as needed, ensuring that clients have robust relapse prevention and wellness plans in place to support their continuous stability.

• Create detailed discharge plans to ensure clients transition smoothly from therapy, including recommending resources and support systems to maintain their mental health.

• Maintain compliance with federal and state guidelines, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies at all times.

• Commit to ongoing professional development by participating in training and continuing education opportunities relevant to mental health counseling.

• Engage actively in case consultations and agency meetings to ensure quality of care and collaborative problem-solving.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Phoenix Rising Counseling Center, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals and families dealing with varying degrees of mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that leads to licensure.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) in the state of New York is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n
