Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough patient intakes and assessments to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based counseling and therapeutic interventions to patients experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma.

• Consult with Primary Care Providers (PCPs) to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, sharing insights and collaborative treatment strategies.

• Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation that reflects patient progress, treatment plans, and adjustments made throughout the therapeutic process.

• Engage regularly in professional development opportunities, staying informed about best practices within the mental health field and the latest developments in telehealth technology.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LMHC will primarily work with Veterans and diverse individuals from various backgrounds within the community who present with unique mental health needs. Understanding cultural sensitivity and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the distinct needs of each patient is essential in this role.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
\n
• Ability to meet credentialing requirements in clinical settings and adapt to internal policies and procedures.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric disorders or substance abuse populations.

• Demonstrated experience conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual and group therapy sessions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, along with the potential for a sign-on bonus.
