Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our patients by:

• Providing compassionate counseling and crisis intervention, focusing on the assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Collaboratively communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient progress, identifying needs, concerns, and addressing any emerging problems effectively.

• Maintaining precise and timely records, including clinical notes and progress updates, in accordance with department policies and regulations.

• Contributing to the development of tailored treatment and discharge plans based on comprehensive psychosocial assessments and established social work methodologies.

• Establishing and nurturing relationships with community resource leaders, representing Bedford Healthcare Center in relevant meetings and committees that address social determinants affecting our patients.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this impactful role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• Possession of one of the following independent licenses: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two (2) years of professional counseling experience in a behavioral health setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, additional preferences include experience with crisis intervention techniques, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and involvement in community mental health initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits\n
