Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, which is equipped with the latest technology and therapeutic equipment. Your weekly schedule will consist of 40 hours, with variable weekend shifts, allowing for flexibility in your work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist at Amedisys, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to develop tailored treatment plans addressing their unique needs.
• Delivering high-quality consultations to healthcare providers, ensuring seamless transitions in patient care.
• Maintaining compliance with our customer service standards by fostering positive interactions with all patients and their families.
• Implementing, re-evaluating, and modifying treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Documenting patient evaluation results and treatment plans according to applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote holistic patient care and overseeing any assigned support staff.
• Engaging in community outreach activities, contributing to marketing strategies, and participating in program development initiatives.
• Attending staff meetings and actively participating in professional development to enhance personal expertise and service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric individuals with various orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and post-operative recovery needs. You will work collaboratively with patients, their families, and caregivers to educate and empower them throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for patient engagement and collaboration with team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and various computer applications for documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist is required, candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, or acute care settings will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits

Amedisys offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
