Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your working hours while maintaining a structured approach to client care. Although most of your work will be conducted online, you will have access to practice in our outpatient office as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in the clients' homes and group therapy sessions at our outpatient center to directly address the needs of our youth.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies to help clients develop anger management techniques, coping strategies, and social skills while addressing and reducing high-risk behaviors.
\n
• Empower both youth and caregivers to enhance decision-making skills that aid in managing in-home behavioral challenges effectively.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to provide comprehensive support to the families you serve.
\n
• Maintain accurate records and submit necessary documentation (such as intake forms, treatment plans, progress notes) within established time frames to ensure effective case management.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss cases and provide recommendations for ongoing client care and treatment modifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 with a range of developmental and intellectual disabilities, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorders, behavioral challenges, and other emotional or behavioral disorders. This role allows you to make a direct impact on their lives while collaborating with their families to create supportive environments conducive to growth and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.
\n
• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM). Flexibility on weekends is advantageous.

• A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required for travel to client locations.
\n
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within home-based settings providing positive behavior support for children with behavioral challenges is highly desirable.

• Prior experience working with children specifically aged 3-20 who have been diagnosed with intellectual or developmental disabilities is a significant asset.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese will be greatly advantageous as we serve a diverse clientele.
