Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate client needs and formulate individualized treatment plans that are culturally sensitive and evidence-based.

• Deliver a variety of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and other modalities, to both individuals and groups.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups, creating a community atmosphere that enables shared experiences and mutual support among clients.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to mental health.

• Respond to mental health crises by providing urgent care, support, and intervention, demonstrating the ability to maintain composure and empathy in high-stress situations.

• Educate clients about mental health conditions, potential treatment options, and necessary community resources to encourage informed decision-making.

• Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and other legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing clinical supervision, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients at Serene Unity represent a diverse range of backgrounds and mental health challenges. As a therapist, you will work with individuals of various ages, primarily adults, who may be experiencing significant life stressors or chronic mental health conditions. Your expertise will be essential in helping these clients navigate their mental health journeys, fostering resilience and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is mandatory.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of California as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) is required.

• Strong understanding of various evidence-based treatment approaches and mental health disorders.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform mental health assessments and establish individualized treatment plans.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.

• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and maintaining client progress notes.

• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within a community health clinic or outpatient psychiatric setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
