Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough initial assessments and interviews to gain insights into clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health history.

• Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs and presenting challenges, including those related to anxiety, depression, and trauma.
\n
• Facilitating engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based methodologies and interventions.
\n
• Monitoring and documenting client progress throughout the course of treatment, ensuring adjustments to plans as necessary to improve outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
\n
• Providing follow-up support for clients transitioning from hospital care, ensuring continuity in their treatment plans.
\n
• Educating clients and their families about mental health resources, coping strategies, and the importance of ongoing support during the recovery process.

• Identifying and addressing behaviors that may hinder recovery, working proactively with clients to overcome obstacles.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a wide range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families, presenting various mental health concerns. Your practice will extend to those facing challenges such as emotional distress, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• Successful completion and passing score on relevant examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong comprehension of mental health practices grounded in current research and methodologies.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with well-developed interpersonal abilities to foster trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proven experience working as a mental health counselor during which you demonstrated strong clinical acumen and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client documentation and track treatment progress effectively.

• Working knowledge of co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, along with experience managing clients with addiction disorders.
\n
• Awareness of best practice guidelines as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth understanding of the implications of psychotropic medications and their effects on client treatment.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
