Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Rocky Meadow Counseling, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Effectively diagnosing and treating a variety of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, adjusting care plans based on client progress and changing needs.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive discharge plans, linking clients to ongoing services and community resources to ensure a continuum of care.
• Providing individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address specific issues faced by clients.
• Engaging in case coordination, communicating with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, families, and community organizations to optimize client support.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant mental health legislation, maintaining ethical standards, and adhering to the Mental Health Practice Act.
• Identifying and advocating for patients experiencing potential barriers to care, proactively addressing sensitive issues related to mental health treatment, including financial and complex discharge needs.
• Facilitating supportive interventions for clients, providing crisis management and bereavement support as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing a range of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral issues. The clients you serve may come from various walks of life and cultural backgrounds, enriching your therapeutic experience and requiring a responsive and adaptable approach to treatment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure in the state of Washington as either an LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Psychologist.
• Demonstrated understanding and familiarity with community-based mental health resources and support services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within outpatient mental health settings.
• Prior involvement with collaborative care models and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
• Training in trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices tailored to mental health treatment.
