Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments and screenings to understand and evaluate clients' mental health concerns, enabling the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies that address the specific challenges and aspirations of each client, responding dynamically to progress and feedback.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote healing and growth.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate comprehensive client care, ensuring that all aspects of a client's mental health and wellbeing are addressed.
• Educate and support clients' families, enhancing their understanding of mental health issues and encouraging their engagement in the recovery and treatment process.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential records of client interactions in adherence with ethical and regulatory guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse clientele who seek assistance for a variety of mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, and behavioral issues. Your role as a mental health counselor will allow you to engage with individuals from different cultural and social backgrounds, enriching your clinical experience and cultural competence.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LICSW within the state.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, with a focus on treating mood disorders, is preferred.
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities specifically designed for mood disorders, such as CBT and DBT.
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology, facilitating effective collaborations with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
• A proven track record of achieving successful client outcomes in treating mood disorders and related issues.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of $52,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
