Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, identifying their unique needs and goals.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that include evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's situation.

• Provide individual counseling sessions using motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques to encourage client engagement and progress.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, creating a supportive environment where clients can share experiences and strategies while learning from one another.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive integrated and coordinated care.

• Offer crisis intervention during emergencies related to substance use, helping clients navigate acute situations and providing necessary support.

• Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery processes, and available resources in the community.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records that comply with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work closely with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including adolescents, young adults, and their families. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State is essential for this position.

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and recovery-oriented practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
