This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing our therapist to maintain a balance between personal and professional commitments. The typical schedule consists of weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotating basis to accommodate our clients' needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their mental health status.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting clear goals and outlining specific therapeutic strategies that align with their preferences and needs.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to address mood disorders, while carefully monitoring patient progress.

• Educate and support clients and their families regarding mood disorders, emphasizing treatment options and self-care strategies that empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, and session notes, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care, adapting treatment approaches based on multidisciplinary insights.

• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including case consultations and team meetings, to enhance clinical skills and remain informed about best practices.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing the stigma around mood disorders through education and awareness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Health Comfort, you will primarily work with adolescents and families, providing crucial support and interventions to those grappling with various mood disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and as such, you will have the opportunity to utilize culturally competent approaches in therapy, ensuring that each patient's unique perspective is honored and integrated into their treatment plan.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid license to practice as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in New York State.

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatments and modalities specifically aimed at addressing mood disorders.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to create a strong rapport with clients and foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders, confidently implementing therapeutic interventions.

• Prior experience in multidisciplinary collaborations with psychiatrists or other medical professionals to provide integrated patient care.

• A proven track record of achieving successful treatment outcomes in managing mood disorders in clinical settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
