Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual and group psychotherapy to patients struggling with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of both emotional and social functioning, utilizing standardized tools and individualized interviews to develop insightful treatment plans.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and reflect cultural competence, ensuring that each patient's unique background and experiences are acknowledged.

• Consistently monitor and evaluate patient progress through ongoing assessments, adjusting therapy techniques and treatment plans as necessary based on comprehensive feedback.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and mental health specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and resolve complex cases effectively.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatments, and community resources, empowering them to actively engage in their care journey.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical principles, guiding patients through informed consent processes while ensuring compliance with legal standards and agency policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with hospice patients who often face compounded challenges due to terminal illness. This includes addressing mental health conditions that may arise alongside physical ailments, emotional distress, and the unique pressures of end-of-life care. Understanding and compassion will be key in providing effective support to both patients and their families, allowing them to navigate through complex feelings associated with grief and loss.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience providing psychotherapy and mental health services in clinical or community settings.
