Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of clients to identify their individual strengths, challenges, and treatment needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, specifically tailored to the cognitive, emotional, and social needs of older adult patients.

• Deliver effective therapeutic interventions, such as individual and family therapy, utilizing methods proven to support geriatric psychiatric wellness.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to create a holistic approach to care, ensuring that all aspects of the client’s health are addressed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on older adult clients, addressing various mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, memory disorders, and adjustment disorders related to aging. Understanding the unique challenges faced by this population, such as loneliness, chronic illness, and the life transitions associated with aging, will be essential to your practice. Providing empathetic, respectful, and culturally competent care is fundamental to fostering strong client relationships.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating proficiency in providing therapeutic services to elderly clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
