Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while connecting with patients in an outpatient setting. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative environment, where teamwork and communication are emphasized. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet the needs of your patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments that take into account each patient's unique experiences, values, and backgrounds in order to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), that resonate with patients' individual cultural contexts.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that empower patients in addressing their mental health conditions and enhancing their overall resilience.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure holistic and comprehensive patient care.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support, demonstrating calmness and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and resources within the community to foster understanding and support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that complies with legal, ethical, and organizational standards while utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems effectively.

• Actively participate in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training sessions to enhance professional development and team cohesion.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in therapy, ensuring a commitment to cultural considerations in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work closely with clients from a variety of backgrounds, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationships. Our patient population includes individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with unique immigrant experiences. Your expertise will empower these individuals, helping them navigate their unique challenges within a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A robust understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and the importance of cultural competence in therapy.

• Experience in providing individual and group therapy, particularly with a focus on culturally responsive care.

• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills, with a capacity to remain composed in challenging circumstances.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of effective rapport with diverse clients.

• Proficient with EHR systems and familiar with modern technology to enhance practice efficiency.

• A commitment to ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and the confidentiality of client information.

• A capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
