Work Environment\n

This position is based in a remote outpatient setting, providing flexibility and work-life balance while enabling you to deliver care directly from your chosen environment. Our practice operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents, using standardized tools and best practices to identify their unique needs.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect each patient’s developmental stage, strengths, and family dynamics, ensuring that interventions are grounded in evidence-based practices.

• Provide therapeutic interventions including individual counseling and group therapy aimed at addressing various mental health issues, utilizing approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy.

• Engage in family therapy sessions to strengthen communication and support systems among families, enhancing their ability to facilitate positive health outcomes for their children.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to coordinate care and implement multidisciplinary strategies for patient treatment.

• Offer crisis intervention strategies and immediate support during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents, ensuring safety and appropriate action.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, offering guidance on coping strategies and community resources available for ongoing support.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate patient records and treatment continuity.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and learning from peers in a collaborative environment focused on improving care outcomes.

• Stay current with research developments in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance clinical practice and therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health challenges. You will work directly with young patients aged 6 to 18, providing therapeutic support that not only addresses immediate concerns but also promotes long-term mental health resilience. By creating a nurturing therapeutic environment, you will facilitate trust and openness, enabling children and families to engage fully in the treatment process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC in New York.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience preferred, demonstrating a solid foundation in mental health care for children and adolescents.

• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-based treatment strategies.

• Experience in both individual and family therapy, with a demonstrated ability to engage young clients effectively.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine, compassionate approach towards children and families.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality mental health care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
