Work Environment\n

This role is designed as a remote position, allowing for flexibility while providing essential mental health services. You will connect with patients through secure telehealth platforms, ensuring comfort and accessibility for both patients and their families. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the unique needs of each child or adolescent.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that take into account developmental milestones, family dynamics, and specific clinical needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, offering guidance to parents and caregivers on how to support their children effectively.
\n
• Actively collaborate with child psychiatrists and other experts to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention for young patients in acute distress, ensuring they receive immediate and effective support.
\n
• Educate patients and families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and local community resources to enhance support systems.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential records adhering to legal and ethical standards regarding patient information.

• Engage in continuous professional development through team meetings and consultations, obtaining knowledge on current best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

• Stay informed and updated on the latest research and developments within the field of mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on young patients aged 5-18 who are navigating various mental health challenges. You will work to establish a trusting relationship that encourages open communication and involvement from both the young patients and their families, ensuring a supportive environment conducive to healing.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC in New York State is essential.
\n
• Minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience in a relevant setting, focusing on child and adolescent mental health.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and child-centered approach to therapy.

• Proven ability to establish rapport and trust with young clients and their families.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and relevant computer applications for documentation and reporting.

• Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The yearly salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
