As part of our collaborative team, you will engage in virtual meetings and consultations with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and share insights, ensuring a holistic approach to each patient’s treatment plan.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic modalities suited to different developmental stages and family dynamics.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in fostering positive familial relationships and supportive environments.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists, to ensure all aspects of a patient’s care are aligned and effective.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention services to address mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of our young clients.

• Educate patients and their families about various mental health conditions, the available treatment options, and community support resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and strategies that enhance patient care.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in child and adolescent psychology.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents ranging from ages 5 to 18 who face various mental health challenges. Our caseload includes young individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and attention disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering their emotional resilience and coping strategies, ultimately guiding them toward a healthier mental state.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in child and adolescent mental health disorders and treatment protocols.
\n
• Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to connect with children, adolescents, and their families through empathy and compassion.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to support patient care and documentation.
\n
• A collaborative mindset, eager to work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on child and adolescent therapy.

• Demonstrated ability to provide individual and family therapy, reflecting a deep understanding of child development and family systems.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
