This position is remote, allowing for a flexible and adaptable work setting. Our team operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts depending on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine the specific needs of each child and adolescent.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique developmental stages and family environments of our patients.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and family therapy, tailored to address various mental health concerns effectively.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with the strategies to foster a nurturing and supportive home environment.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists, educators, and other health professionals to ensure seamless, holistic care for our clients.

• Offer crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring appropriate support and resources are provided swiftly.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their mental health journeys.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and continuous professional development to enhance your skills and contribute to team efficiency.

• Stay current on advancements in child and adolescent mental health by engaging with ongoing training and professional networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on delivering mental health services to children and adolescents, ranging from young children facing emotional challenges to teenagers experiencing complex behavioral issues. By utilizing an empathetic, child-centered approach, the counselor will help these individuals develop coping strategies and resilience, ultimately enhancing their daily functioning and quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the State of New York.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a strong emphasis on child and adolescent mental health.

• Solid understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques specific to younger populations.

• Previous experience providing individual and family therapy, with a demonstrated capacity to connect with young clients.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills paired with a compassionate and patient-centered attitude.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and remote counseling technologies.

• A collaborative spirit, with a willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
