As a full-time Mental Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance use disorders. Utilizing your expertise as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), you will help shape the recovery experience for our patients.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, leveraging the latest telehealth technologies to engage with clients effectively. Our work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of recovery.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients who seek treatment for substance use disorders, identifying their needs and crafting tailored treatment goals.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• Facilitate engaging individual counseling sessions, creating a safe space for patients to explore their thoughts and feelings related to addiction.

• Organize and lead group therapy sessions to promote community support among patients during their recovery journey.

• Work closely with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other professionals to provide coordinated and integrated care.

• Actively participate in crisis intervention efforts, addressing severe substance-related emergencies with appropriate support and resources.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources, empowering them along their path to recovery.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in team meetings, ongoing training, and case consultations to enhance treatment protocols and share best practices.

• Stay informed about recent developments in substance use disorder treatment and integrate new strategies into practice as relevant.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Washington state.

• In-depth understanding of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment practices.

• Proven experience delivering both individual and group therapy specifically within addiction treatment contexts.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to counseling.

• Capacity to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines throughout clinical practice.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software to support patient documentation and care coordination.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional experience in substance use disorder treatment or leadership roles within mental health settings will be given preference. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques is also highly desirable to ensure effective digital engagement with patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
