Work Environment

The role of Physical Therapist is onsite at our Saint Petersburg Rehabilitation Center, which is designed to promote healing and wellness through a collaborative team approach. The working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for work-life balance and predictability in your schedule. Our facility emphasizes teamwork and professional development, encouraging all staff to engage in ongoing learning and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess functional limitations and disabilities, creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols and adapting them as necessary based on ongoing evaluations and patient responsiveness.
• Providing continuous documentation of patient progress, including detailed encounter notes and discharge summaries, that comply with all state and federal regulations.
• Conducting consultations with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-focused care and recognize when modifications are necessary in the treatment plan.
• Engaging in discharge planning and providing follow-up care as appropriate, ensuring that patients continue their progress outside the clinical environment.
• Attending and contributing to facility meetings to share insights on patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient demographic that includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions requiring rehabilitation. Your clinical expertise will be key in addressing various conditions, promoting mobility, and improving patients' overall functional capabilities. Building strong therapeutic relationships with patients and understanding their unique challenges will be at the forefront of your practice.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A valid and active physical therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Preferred Experience

While two years of outpatient orthopedic experience is our minimum requirement, candidates with experience treating diverse patient populations, utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques, and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems will be given preference. Your ability to adapt and incorporate new methodologies will be invaluable in our clinic.

Compensation and Benefits
