Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans focused on preventing disability, relieving pain, and promoting mobility enhancement.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the execution of effective and safe therapeutic interventions.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional status through various assessments, including muscle and joint tests, to establish baseline data for treatment planning.
• Assess clients' living environments to identify barriers to their independence and provide recommendations for necessary adaptations.
• Deliver in-clinic physical therapy services as prescribed by a physician, which may include manual therapy, rehabilitative exercises, and the application of physical agents.
• Monitor and document clients' progress, noting any changes in their condition and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during case conferences to discuss treatment strategies and client outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and the proper use of assistive devices to foster engagement in their recovery process.
• Complete and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, adhering to compliance regulations.
• Actively contribute to ongoing case reviews and participate in the broader mission of improving patient outcomes within our facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in this role, you will work closely with a diverse client population that may include individuals recovering from surgeries, orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. Your efforts will focus on delivering high-quality care tailored to each client's unique needs, facilitating a path to recovery that prioritizes their goals and aspirations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Possession of an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with a clean disciplinary record.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices in physical therapy and significant clinical competence in a variety of treatment modalities.
• Proficient in using EMR software; familiarity with Web PT is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is advantageous, particularly in managing orthopedic and neurological conditions.
• Expertise in developing innovative exercise programs and utilizing manual therapy techniques to enhance client outcomes.
• Experience in educating clients about home exercise regimens and the use of therapeutic devices.

Compensation and Benefits
