This role focuses on providing vital mental health services to clients who have experienced trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, current mental state, and treatment needs.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans aimed at supporting trauma recovery and resilience, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide effective healing processes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, empowering patients to process their trauma and learn adaptive coping strategies.

• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and other health professionals to create a cohesive treatment approach, ensuring integrated care for all patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies to stabilize patients and connect them with further support.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions, treatment progress, and compliance with legal and ethical standards within electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training focused on the latest practices in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients who have experienced significant trauma. These individuals may have complex needs, and your role will be to empower them by providing a supportive therapeutic environment that promotes recovery and resilience. You will work with diverse populations, adapting your approach to meet the unique cultural and personal contexts of each client.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, focusing on trauma-informed care.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proven experience with trauma-focused therapies and interventions that yield measurable outcomes.

• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental approach.

• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and proficient in the use of technology for telehealth services.

Compensation and Benefits\n
