Work Environment

You will be working in an onsite rehabilitation center located in the heart of Clearwater, Florida. The facility is designed to enhance patient recovery, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and comfortable treatment areas. Our therapists enjoy a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, with options for either a 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM workday, allowing for a great work-life balance while passionately focusing on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify rehabilitation needs and develop effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions varying from manual techniques, such as massage and stretching, to prescribed exercise regimens aimed at restoring function and alleviating pain.
• Guide patients through both active and passive exercises, facilitate muscle re-education, and provide training for activities of daily living (ADLs), gait, and functional mobility.
• Educate patients and their families on proper care plans, ensuring they have the knowledge necessary to support recovery at home.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of integrated care and monitor their progress consistently.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our facility, you will primarily work with outpatient clients who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This diverse patient population requires a tailored approach to rehabilitation, ensuring you utilize the most effective treatment methodologies suited to individual needs and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• An active State Physical Therapy license is essential to practice within Florida.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy role, particularly in an orthopedic setting, is required.
