Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and guide personalized treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience, tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in therapeutic sessions.
• Deliver engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage patients to process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote overall healing.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers to provide integrated care that comprehensively addresses patients' needs.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive timely and appropriate assistance.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources for additional support.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations and ongoing team meetings that focus on trauma-informed care and therapeutic best practices.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to bring innovative practices into our treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will engage with a diverse population of clients primarily dealing with trauma-related challenges, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients often come from varied backgrounds, each carrying their unique stories and experiences, and your role will be crucial in guiding them towards recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• Demonstrated proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building strategies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
• The ability to remain calm and composed when managing high-stress situations.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and necessary computer applications.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-focused therapeutic practices.
• Experience with crisis intervention and managing trauma-related emergencies will be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
